Why iPhone photos fail to upload
Many iPhones save photos as HEIC. It is efficient, but some job portals, government forms, marketplaces, and older web apps still expect JPG or PNG.
If the site rejects your photo or shows an unknown file error, converting HEIC to JPG is usually the fastest compatibility fix.
Which output should you choose?
Choose JPG for normal photos, profile images, ID uploads, product photos, and forms that ask for JPEG. Choose PNG if the destination specifically asks for PNG or if you plan to edit the image further.
Before submitting the converted file
Open the converted file and check orientation, crop, colors, and file size. Keep the original HEIC photo until the upload is accepted.
